| The Christiana Fire Company is proud to announce that we have officially placed our newly acquired 2015 Pierce Arrow custom pumper into active service.
At the end of February, we finalized the purchase of Lancaster Township’s Engine 66-1. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Lancaster Township Fire Department for a smooth transition and professional cooperation throughout the sale.
Before placing the unit in service, our members collaborated with several specialized organizations to complete an extensive upfitting process tailored to our district's needs: * Glick Fire Equipment: Completed technical upfitting, including corner-mounted Mars 888 lights, a new rotary light, functional additions inside the cab, and custom painting/lettering on the front grille. * Barry's Collision Repair: Assisted in safely removing the legacy lettering from the unit. * Danz Lettering: Executed the beautiful new gold leaf layout and custom striping package. * Gap Hill Aluminum: Fabricated custom aluminum shelving for tool and equipment mounting within the compartments. * Station 52 Vol. Members: Dedicated significant volunteer hours to mounting equipment, organizing gear, and completing rigorous driver training and pump operations.
A huge shout-out and thank you goes to our local municipalities and the community for your unwavering support, which made the purchase of this new unit possible.
