Saturday was a busy day for the 5-2 volunteers as they handled a Building Fire response in the morning and held a very successful Chicken Bar-B-Que. Crew members gathered at the intersection of Route 41 & Pine Creek Drive, in Sadsbury Township to raise funds for the general operations of the fire company. Captain Fisher, Firefighter Stoltzfus and many others chipped in to serve 300+ dinners as well as numerous buckets and singles of the famous "AJ Chicken". The day was long but the comerodery shared by the members along with the monetary profits made it well worth the time. As you can see below, one of the chickens didn't cook to well. In fact it was seen trying to board Engine 5-2-1 in SCBA for the next assignment.
Thanks to all the crew and our supporters for making this event a huge success.
