As Christiana members were working our annual Apple Dumpling and Soup fundraiser today, station members were alerted at 1344hrs to assist Bart Twp Fire on a Dwelling fire at 141 Lamparter Road in Bart Township.
Members quickly staffed Tanker 52-2, Engine 52-1, Tanker 52-1 and Squad 52 for the response to the working 3 story dwelling. First arriving units found a balloon style construction house with fire in the walls stretching from the first floor to the attic. The fire was reported to have started and spread from the chimney.
Company 52 members reported to the manpower pool on arrival and eventually went to work opening walls on several floors assisting 57 (Quarryville) and 51 (Bart Twp) members.
