Sunday afternoon at 13:59hrs, Company 5-2 was tapped out as part of a Dwelling assignment at 729 Noble Road in Bart Township. The caller was reporting a cabin in the woods on fire with flames through the roof.
Tanker 5-2-2 (Maser) and Engine 5-2-1 (Buckwalter) made the response soon after dispatch followed by Tanker 5-2-1 (Reimold), Squad 5-2 and Brush 5-2. Chief 4-2-2 arrived confirming fire to a small cabin with extension into the woods.
Engine 5-2-1 arrived first and was instructed by command to pull multiple attack lines for suppression of what was left of the cabin and the fire extension in the woods. Tanker 5-2-2 arrived and supplied Engine 5-2-1 with a 5" supply line. Engine 5-1-1 arrived with several other units and sent manpower into the scene.
5-2 units operated on the scene for just under an hour, clearing the scene at 14:55hrs.
