On Friday, the Christiana Fire Company received a check from Pennsylvania American Water representative Steve Gibbs. Members in attendance for the ceremony were Christiana Fire Chief Paul "Sonny" Reimold, President Kim Moore and Christiana Borough Manager, Bud Rettew.
Pennsylvania American Water's annual grant program awarded the Christiana Fire Company the amount of $800 to be used to purchase vital equipment used in day to day operations. This year the grant will be used to purchase a new 14" rotary saw to replace the existing saw on Engine 5-2-1.
The Officers and members of the Christiana Fire Company would like to thank Steve Gibbs and Pennsylvania American Water for their generous donation.
