| On Saturday evening, the Christiana Fire Company held the first annual community fun night and block shoot at the fire station.
We had visitors from both our community and far away that came to try their luck at the .22 caliber block shoot. Hams were awarded to the winner from each of the 15 rounds with the closest mark to the center of an "x" target. In addition to this, a final 16th round was shot awarding a Browning Rod to the winner. A 50/50 cash and fishing rod sale also took place during this period of the evening.
Once the shoot was over the crowd moved to the Banquet Hall to finish off the evening by raffling off 15 rounds of meats, loins and assorted trays. A 16th special raffle was made to chance off a fishing rod awarded earlier in the evening but donated back to the company.
The Christiana Fire Company extends a big THANK YOU to all for making the 2009 Community Fun Night and Block Shoot a huge success.
