The past two Monday nights, the members of the Christiana Fire Company completed the annual recertification for Hazard Materials Operations. This class was once again instructed by Ken Hudson of the Lancaster County Public Safety Training Center.
The students reviewed skills they have previously championed, such as decon practices, damming and diking operations, and overflow and underflow dams. This refresher allows our members to stay current in Haz-Mat operational skills and better prepares the fire company should a hazardous material event take place in our community.
