Engine Transfer to the Gap

By Captain BJ Meadowcroft
December 10, 2008

On Tuesday evening, Engine 5-2-1 (Buckwalter) with a crew of five headed down to Station 4-2 (Gap) for a scheduled standby. Earlier in the day, Chief 4-2 (Kurtz) requested the Engine to fill in while the Gap members spend some time reviewing several recent incidents in their first due.

The Christiana crew spend time reviewing some of Gap's equipment and checked out some old photo album's in their lounge.

Engine 5-2-1 made one response during the standby, to assist the police with lighting on Mt. Vernon Rd in Salisbury Township.

The evening finished up with members from both companies spending some time together telling old stories and having a good laugh about Chief Kurtz's favorite apparel.

Units: Engine 5-2-1
