Saturday, June 18th @ 14:02 - Engine-Tanker 52 was dispatched as part of the Tanker Task Force to assist Station 57 ( Quarryville ) with a large mulch fire in East Drumore Township at 372 Puseyville Road. A steady 25 mph wind had spread the fire from 1 pile to 5 piles endangering machinery & buildings on the property. Water supply on the South side was handled by Engine 574 drafting from a fire pond while multiple tankers supplied the North side. ET-52 delivered 4 loads of water ( 10,000 gals. ) from 2 established fill sites to the scene. Our 6 crew members ( Lt. Kauffman ) handled fire suppression utilizing Blitz Fire/ handlines.
