On November 13, 2021 at 21:21 hrs. Lancaster County - Wide Communications alerted Christiana Fire Company along with EMS 46-1 & Chester County Medic 293 for a vehicle accident , possibly involving fire at 172 Upper Valley Road in Sadsbury Township. Duty Officer 52 arrived on location within 2 minutes reporting no fire, however did confirm entrapment in a single vehicle crash. Engine 521 w/6 arrived at 21:28 hours, stabilizing the vehicle, while the split crew removed the drivers door to gain access to the lone occupant . Extrication was complete within 6 minutes of arrival & patient was transported to LGH trauma center. Engine-Tanker 52 w/7 arrived at 21:31 providing
extra manpower & lighting. Fire Police 52 handled the road closure until PSP concluded their investigation at 22:32 hours.
