Atglen Borough- Commercial Building Fire

At 01: 05 A.M. on Wednesday , April 28th, Station 52 was alerted for an Automatic Fire Alarm in a large single story commercial structure at 808 Valley Ave. in Atglen Borough. At 01: 13 A.M. Duty 52 ( Chief Reimold ) arrived to find the building to be evacuated with the report of a machine on fire within the building. Duty Officer immediately requested the box be filled bringing multiple mutual aid companies to the scene. Engine 521 w/6 arrived assuming first due engine company, stretching the 300 foot line to the center of the building. Engine -Tanker 52 arrived assuming 2nd due engine, completing the supply line to the closest hydrant. The incident was placed under control at 1:32 A.M.
Trucks 42 & 57 went to the roof to check extension in the exhaust system and roof structure. Rescue-Engines from station 8, 27,& 42 all went in service ventilating the 150 x 300 foot building. Command was terminated & complete at 02:55 A.M.
