Every year in the early spring , fire company members start looking forward to our annual " live fire " training event at West Chester Fire Company training facility. This year, our event was scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd with 17 members signed up to participate in the multiple scenarios to hone their firefighting skills. The weather could not have been any better for this event with temperature around 60 & sunny skies. After arriving, Captain Zook established training groups of four members which included one officer and three firefighters of varying degrees of skill levels. The four groups ran over 30 plus simulation fire events with fires on the first & second floors, as well as a working fire in the basement area.
