Hockessin Standby- Transfer

Early this morning at 05:19 hours the crew of E/T 52-1 ( Captain Stoltzfus ) left station to travel to Hockessin, Delaware for a Standby with Chester County Station 33 ( Honeybrook ). Station 19 was at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware for the Memorial Ceremony for Senior Firefighter Ardythe Hope. Ardythe was the 3rd LODD from an arson row house fire September 24, 2016 which also took the lives of Lieutenant Christopher Leach and Senior Firefighter Jerry Fickes.

We would like to send our condolences to the Hope family and the Wilmington Fire Department.

At 07:50, The standby crews responded to the Summit Assisted Living, 5850 Limestone Road for reported smoke on the 3rd floor. Incident complete at 08:26.

E/T 52-1 cleared New Castle County at 12:57
