At 00:34 hours, the vollies of Station 52 were alerted to assist Station 45 (Kinzer Fire Company) with a working commercial building fire within Paradise Township as part of a first alarm box assignment for Tanker 52-1.

Other companies were already on the scene of the fire, which was dispatched at 00:17 hours and was quickly upgraded to a 2 alarm fire.

Soon after Tanker 52-1 (Captain Stoltzfus) responded (00:38 hours), the request for more tankers by Command 45 was issued bringing out Tanker 52-2 to the scene. Tanker 52-2 (FF Baker) went enroute at 00:46 hours and took their position in the line of tankers supplying the scene with water.

With Tanker 52-1 in the tanker shuttle as well, the crew members of it where assigned to man power staging while Captain Stoltzfus took over as one of the water supply officers at the scene for port-a-tank operations. These portable pool-like tanks allow water to be dumped at or near the scene and keep a strong supply of water going for fire attack operations.

After the fire was knocked down to a point where it did not require a large amount of water to be present, Tanker 52-2 was released at 03:41 hours and returned to the station. Tanker 52-1 and its crew remained on the scene until 06:14 hours to assist with both water supply and man power.
