At 12:12hrs, the Christiana Fire Company was alerted to assist Station 42 (Gap) on a reported outbuilding at 31 Newport Road in Sadsbury Township. First arriving 42 officers confirmed smoke showing from the rear of an outbuilding.

Tanker 52-2 (Captain Stoltzfus) went enroute shortly after dispatch. Followed by Engine 52-1 (Lieutenant Miller) with 6 and Tanker 52-1 (Captain Lofgren) with 4. Christiana apparatus arrived on the scene with the Engine and Tanker 1’s crews reporting to manpower staging. Crews were then assigned to help check for extensions in the attic. Tanker 52-2 who arrived just after first arriving Gap units maintained the water supply to Engine 42-2. Command 42 placed the incident under control at 12:34hrs.

Crews completed overhaul, cleaned up equipment and went available at 12:55hrs.
