Box 2313 Vehicle Accident - Atglen Boro

At 12:58 hours, the 52 volunteers were dispatched to a Class 1 vehicle accident, reported with an Amish Buggy overturned.

Within minutes, Engine 52-1 (FF Swift) with a crew of 6 responded followed closely by Squad 52-1 (FF Schultz).

This accident was caused by a spooked horse from a train horn. The buggy traveled 200-300 yards before striking 2 cars and overturning. One child was in the buggy and was treated for head injuries by Christiana Community Ambulance and LEMSA Paramedics.

Traffic was controlled in the area by Christiana Fire Company Fire Police. All units cleared at 13:36.
