Members met for their weekly training Monday night with Captain Stoltzfus leading the group in a Basement fire and Ventilation activity. After the lecture time, Captain Stoltzfus had the 52 members split into 2 groups to cover the hands on portion of the training. Senior Firefighter's Vandenbosch and Lowry reviewed the Negative Pressure fan and discussed tactics as well as proper setup techniques. At the same time Captain Stoltzfus led the other group on Positive Pressure fan setup and techniques.

Not long into the training (1926hrs) Christiana Fire members were alerted for an Engine and Tanker assist to Keystone Valley FD (Chester County) for a reported Chimney fire at 1208 Swan Road in West Sadsbury, Chester County. Engine 52-1 was immediately staffed with 6 interior firefighters led by Captain Stoltzfus. Tanker 52-1 (FF Swift) was on the street soon after staffing a crew of 7 personnel with Squad 52-1 following up with additional staffing.

Engine 52-1 arrived, stopping short of the drive allowing Ladder 8 access to the A side of the structure. Engine 1's crew was tasked with checking for extension in the home as Ladder 8 was setting up for possible roof work. Tanker 52-1 arrived and stretched to Ladder 8 for the supply. Some extension was found in the walls as crews began opening up and did go in service with extinguishment operations. Additional manpower from Tanker 1 and Squad 52 reported to the manpower pool in case additional personnel was needed.

Crews wrapped up the scene and returned available at 20:22hrs.
