Imagine waking up one morning and rolling out of bed only to realize you don’t have the use of your legs. Or, maybe an illness has caused your mobility to be restricted. It might be that the things that many of us take for granted are just the things that make others more powerful than those without a disability could even dream of. Being handicapped or having a disability is not a limiting factor to many, but more so a motivation to live and a determination to give what they are able to give. The Christiana Fire Company has several of these members in its ranks ranging from Social and Administrative members to active Emergency Services members. Their value to our company cannot be measured nor equaled in many cases and their commitment to their community continually goes above and beyond what is expected.
