Continued bitterly cold weather greeted the volunteers from Christiana Fire for the second straight morning, this time it was a reported Motor Vehicle Accident within Christiana Boro. Lancaster County 911 alerted CFC at 0548hrs to a single vehicle versus a pole in the area of 225 East Slokom Avenue.

Captain 52-1 (Lofgren) marked up receiving the additional as well as Rescue 42 (Gap Fire) and Engine 52-1. Captain 52-1 arrived soon after confirming the report and tasked Engine 1’s crew with stabilization and lead off with the tools. Rescue 42 arrived minutes later and sent manpower in to assist in the extrication.

Final Christiana units cleared the scene at 0830hrs.
