As announced back in July of this year........

"we received more fantastic news that we have been awarded a second FY2013 Assistance to Firefighters Grant to purchase new hydraulic "Jaws of Life" rescue tools just one week after receiving an award for AEDs."

Total amount of grant funding received for the project is $24,500; with $23,275 provided in Federal funds and $1,225 being our responsibility.

The awarded rescue tools will further enhance our capabilities and prove to be a vital piece of equipment when responding to vehicle accidents or technical rescues which require extrication.

The awarded tools arrived Wednesday evening, October 16, with a brief overview by ESI Equipment and James Artz. More in depth training nights will be scheduled within the next several weeks with the tools being officially put in service soon after.
