Dwelling Box Alerted in Atglen Borough First Due

At 14:49hrs Wednesday afternoon, Lancaster County Dispatch alerted Christiana Fire units for the local 2313 Dwelling box to 153 Lower Valley Road in Atglen Borough, Chester County. Additional units due on the box included Gap, Keystone (Chesco) and Cochranville (Chesco) for the mutual aid assist. Reporting parties indicated a fire to rear of the structure, possibly extinguished with an extinguisher.

Engine 52-1 marked enroute moments after dispatch receiving additional info from LCWC. Tanker 52-1 and Squad 52-1 also made the response with additional crew members. Engine 52-1 arrived to find the fire out and proceeded to check for extension with help from Gap Fire crews. The incident was immediately placed under control. Units not on the scene were instructed to continue in under caution. Chester County Fire Marshall’s were notified for the investigation response with Engine 52-1 remaining on the scene until they arrived. All other units were released soon after arrival.
