Saturday's Spring Cleanup Day ramped up shortly after 0900hrs this morning as a group of 11 kids and 5 adults from West Fallowfield Christian School arrived at the hall to lend a hand. A dozen or so active members were also on hand to help clean and prepare for next weeks annual Block Shoot. The shoot takes place next Saturday starting at 1600hrs with 100’s of patrons taking part.

The group of kids and adults arrived and were split between cleaning apparatus and 2nd floor fire hall duties. Picking up debris and trash outside of the station was also performed by our helpers. As a way to reward the children before they left to return back to school, a ride in the apparatus was given by Captain Erik “Odie” Lofgren and Deputy Chief AJ Fisher. A Certificate of Appreciation was also presented to the group as a way to remember their commitment this day. A big THANK YOU to the kids and parents/teachers who took part in helping us to clean and pick up around the station this morning.
