| Christina Fire members took delivery of a new Thermal Imaging Camera today that the company was awarded recently through the FCVAS (Fire Company and Volunteer Ambulance Service) grant program. The grant put on by the State of Pennsylvania and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner had Christiana applying for and being awarded the Scott Eagle Attack thermal camera as well as funds put towards debt reduction.
Christiana was one of three departments who put in for the camera joint portion of the grant. Other companies receiving the camera award were Sadsburyville and Westwood fire companies both of Chester County. The camera is to be mounted in Tanker 52-1 to replace an aging unit.
Thanks to Westwood Fire and Chief Mike McWilliams for handling the delivery of the unit to our station today. |
