A goal set by the members of the 52 house for this year was to train more extensively with our neighboring mutual aid departments. We have been targeting a portion of this goal by refreshing and familiarizing ourselves with other departments Vehicle Rescue techniques as well as the layout of the rescue tools on their apparatus.

With the Gap Fire & Rescue Company review completed last month, this Monday night was setup for Parkesburg Fire Company to come and work with us in getting to know their equipment and what they are looking for when they are called to work. Rescue 28 is serving as our 1st due rescue in our 2313 (Atglen Borough) alarm box.

Crews from 28 and 52 worked together this night by first reviewing their rescue and tools, followed by VRT techniques involving two (2) staged vehicles provided to us by Reed's Auto Salvage. Crews split and worked simultaneously reviewing hazard recognition, stabilization and many other aspects.

Christiana Fire totaled 26+ members for this evenings training with all gaining valuable information only to benefit us when working with 28 in the future.

Special thanks again to Parkesburg Fire for coming over the border and to Reed's Auto Salvage for providing us with the vehicles.
