Vehicle Accident in the Southside

Late Wednesday afternoon, Station 5-2 was dispatched along with Ambulance 5-2, Medic 6, and Rescue 4-2 for a Vehicle Accident with entrapment at the intersection of Upper Valley Road and Noble Road.

Engine 5-2-1 (Chief Reimold) made the response with 4 shortly after dispatch receiving additional of a truck in the creek overturned. First arriving units gave the report of a truck overturned next to the creek and that all occupants were out of the vehicle. Engine 5-2-1 arrived and evaluated the scene while Chief 5-2 (Reimold) took operations. Crews were then instructed to deploy a precautionary hose line.

Rescue 4-2 arrived moments later and assisted with stabilization and hazard control. Chester County was then requested to notify Cochranville Fire for Containment 27 while Hazmat 2-9 was notified in Lancaster. These notifications were made due to fluids leaking into the creek. Hazmat booms were placed across the creek to catch any fluids that went down stream.

Null's Towing was requested to remove the truck and trailer.

Incident was placed under control at 17:40.

Company 5-2 and 4-2 went available around 18:20.
