| In the never ending battle to maintain our top notch training regement, members from Christiana, Cochranville and Quarryville fire companies took part in a joint training through Bucks County Community College this past week. The Pennsylvania State Fire Academy Pump Operations II consists of a 16 hour course geared at enhancing strategies and making precise calculations when it comes to fire truck pumping operations. Relay Pumping, Deluge Appliances and Truck Master Streams were all covered during this three day training. Each student had the chance to take part in calculating proper pressures, friction loss and then applying the calculations while pumping to achieve a specified flow. The Pump Ops II training was a huge success and we thank all of those who took part. Pump Instructors Lloyd Henry, Elliott Clay and the Gordonville Fire Company for the use of Hose 4-3. |
