Landing Zone Assignment for Farm Rescue

On Monday morning at 09:59 hours, Engine 5-2-1 was alerted to assisted the Atglen Fire Department at 131 Upper Valley Road in Atglen Borough for a aero-medical helicopter landing. Atglen and Parkesburg fire companies were already working on the scene to remove a subject who was pinned under a farm tractor.

Deputy 5-2 (Meadowcroft) marked up at dispatch followed by Engine 5-2-1 (Stoltzfus) at 10:04 hours with a crew of four. The engine crew made quick work of setting up the landing zone for Skycare to land safely.

Station 5-2 was available at 10:28 hours with the chopper transporting one to a local trauma center.
