Station 5-2 was alerted at 17:43 hours to assist Chester County Station 26 with a chimney fire at 83 Farm Lane in West Sadsbury Township.

Engine 5-2-1 (Reimold) marked enroute at 17:48 hours with a crew of 6. Tanker 5-2-1 (Lofgren) marked enroute at 17:50 hours with a crew of 4. Upon arrival at the scene, crews from both pieces of apparatus assisted with man power and worked from the roof in removing part of the metal chimney that extended above about 4 feet.

Crews remained on the scene until 18:14 hours (Tanker 5-2-1) and 18:26 hours (Engine 5-2-1) when they went available and returned to the station.

Some of the crew members had to return to the scene for a special detail. Assistant Chief 5-2 had misplaced his phone and thought it may have been lost at the fire grounds. After a few moments of searching, the cell phone and Chief 5-2 were reunited and both happy to be together again!
