Early Morning Barn Fire

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 9th, multiple fire company's in the southern end of Lancaster County were dispatched for a possible barn fire at 583 Mount Pleasant Road in Bart Township. Within minutes Chief 51 ( LeFevre ) arrived on location with a fully involved very large dairy barn, requesting a tanker task force. Engine 521 ( Capt. Stoltzfus ) w/6 arrived, receiving orders to setup a tanker fill site at a farm pond at 457 Mount Pleasant Road. The crew would finish filling 25 tankers supplying 79,500 gallons of water.

Engine-Tanker 52 ( Senior ff Lowry ) W/5 joined numerous other tankers with water supply delivering 6 loads . The incident would be placed under control at 05: 20 with units working overhaul. Last units cleared the scene at 07:33 hours.
