Christiana Pike- Working Barn Fire

At 09:53 Station 52 was dispatched for the barn fire. As Engine 521 ( Lt. Miller ) was responding with crew of 4, LCWC reported 2nd call from the residence stating fire thru the roof. Engine 521 arrived on location at 10:00 with smoke showing from side " A " of a very large building. After laying out 500' of 5" supply line an 1.75" attack line was advanced to the second floor. Engine- Tanker 52 ( Wallace ) arrived at 10:01 on Side "C" advancing 200' of 1.75" also to the 2nd floor. After an aggressive push into the craw space all visable flames were knocked down quickly. Crews from 52,42,and 51 opened the 2nd floor ceiling while Truck 42 worked the roof area. Incident was placed under control at 10:16 hours. The positive results of this fire were made possible due to the teamwork between the first arriving companies. Thanks to all.
