With moderate snow, gusty winds, and single-digit wind chills, station 52 was alerted for the vehicle accident in front of 68 Germantown Ave. in Christiana Borough. Engine 521 ( Lt. Swift ) crew of 6, Squad 52 (Senior FF Smith) crew of 4, arrived at 13:08 with a single vehicle into a utility pole with heavy front end damage. The lone occupant had self extricated with Ambulance 46 ( Christiana Community ) receiving sign off. After debris cleanup and depowering the electrical system crews turned the scene over to the Borough Police Department. Crews cleared the scene 13:25.
