Christiana Volunteers were dispatched at 05:38 A.M. to assist Station 27 ( Cochranville ) with the reported detached garage on Barkley Road in West Fallowfield Township. First in apparatus reported heavy fire from a 20' x 50' outbuilding with Captain 27 ( Null ) assuming command, requesting the Working Fire dispatch. Engine 52-1 ( Capt. Stoltzfus ) w/5 reported to side "A" to assist with fire suppression, arriving on location at 05:50 A.M. E / T 52-1 ( Lt. Miller ) w/5 arrived with water supply to Tanker 27 while crew members went forward to assist. Well placed hand lines quickly brought the situation under control with all units clear of the scene by 08:00 A.M. The cause of the fire is under investigation by Chester County Fire Marshall's office.
