This morning at 06:19 A.M. 52 crew dispatched for a vehicle accident in Atglen Borough at the intersection of Route 41 & 372. Lower than expected temperatures made ice covered roadways extremely hazardous. Upon the arrival of Ambulance 46, Chester County 911 was notified the incident was located in West Fallowfield Township, just South of the Municipal Line. Engine 52-1 ( Capt. Stoltzfus ) and Duty 52 ( Capt. Lofgren ) arrived on location at 06:33 A.M. Finding two pickup trucks with severe damage and five patients walking around.
Sign-offs were obtained, hazards mitigated. Squad 52 with Fire Police handled the traffic control. All 52 apparatus cleared the scene at
08:03 A.M. with 15 members responding.
